Cherry Creek West: Community Open House

Join the Cherry Creek West team on August 1st at their open house to learn more about the project and provide your input. The open house will be hosted at the old Container Store location @ 2500 East 1st Avenue.
Cherry Creek West is a development project located at the southwest corner of the Cherry Creek neighborhood—bordered by University Boulevard, First Avenue, the Cherry Creek Shopping Center, and Cherry Creek North Drive; spanning 13-acres. Cherry Creek East Block Party

The 5th Annual Cherry Creek East Block Party is Saturday, August 5th starting at 3PM. This event is always a favorite one in our community and a great way to meet new neighbors and enjoy the live music provided by RowHouse 43 Blues Band. Bring your chairs, coolers and picnics and spend the day with your neighbors.

District 5 Town Hall with Mayor Mike Johnston
Wednesday, August 9th, 2023, 4pm at George Washington High School
Mayor Mike Johnson, in partnership with Councilmembers At Large Serena Gonzalez-Gutierrez and Sarah Parady, are hosting a District 5 Town Hall on Wednesday, August 9th at George Washington High School (located at 655 S Monaco St Pkwy, Denver, CO 80224). Doors will open at 3:30PM and Town Hall will start at 4:00PM. This town hall is to engage members of the public on current actions and future strategies surrounding the Johnston Administration's Homeless State of Emergency.
Denver Parks & Recreation Open House

Denver Parks & Recreation and the Office of the City Forester are taking steps toward creating a greener, cooler community in Denver…And they need your help! They are looking for feedback from all Denver residents on what matters when it comes to trees and the city’s urban forest.
There will be an open house on Saturday, August 12th between the hours of 11:00AM – 3:00PM at Lincoln School of Technology; 11194 E. 45th Ave. 80239. At this open house, Denver residents will have the opportunity to learn about Forestry resources and ways to help create the city’s first Urban Forest Strategic Plan. City Forestry staff will be available to provide information about the Urban Forest and answer your tree questions.
