Kavod Block Party
Tuesday, July 9th, 2019, 5pm to 6:30pm at 11 South Adams Street, Cherry Creek East
Kavod is hosting a block party for neighbors on Tuesday July 9, 2019 from 5:00 to 6:30 pm at 11 South Adams Street. This is a Farm To Table event with live music and dancing, food and local vendors. 
 
Community Meeting: Proposed Rezoning on Harrison Street

Members of our community are invited to meet and hear about a proposed rezoning affecting several spots on Harrison Street:

In our most recent Cherry Creek East Association newsletter, we reported that developers are planning several projects within Cherry Creek East that would require rezoning. One of the developers, Doug McKinnon, plans to redevelop three locations that lie between:
 
Harrison and Colorado and between Cedar and First: - South East Corner of Bayaud and Harrison [currently occupied by an older apartment building] -
North East Corner of Bayaud and Harrison [currently occupied by two vacant buildings including the former Peepers optical building] - South East Corner of 1st Ave and Harrison [currently occupied by a vacant lot]
 
McKinnon is seeking to rezone these properties from three to five stories. McKinnon will discuss issues with the sites and may suggest other zoning changes.
 
The CCEA Board will recommend a position on the McKinnon plan to the Denver Planning Board. In turn, we are calling a community meeting followed by a short survey so that the CCEA Board's recommendation reflects your views. Everyone is welcome to attend, whether a CCEA member or not. The McKinnon Harrison Street Rezoning Request meeting will be held as follows:

CCEA Board Meeting

The CCEA Board meets at 5 PM on the third Monday every month in the second floor conference room on 155 South Madison Street. 
 
All CCEA members are welcome to join and contribute.
5th Columbian Independence Cultural Festival
Sunday, July 21st, 2019, 10am to 6pm at Pulaski Park, Cherry Creek East
Pulaski Park will host the Columbian Independence Cultural Festival on July 21, 2019 from 10 to 6 pm.

We are a volunteer organization consisting of local residents and businesses. We work closely with our neighbors, the City and our neighboring associations to solve problems and help with issues of concern to our community.
