Cycling is at a moderate pace, for about 25-30 miles, often followed by lunch.  Please e-mail Carol Hopper at carolhopper@gmail.com to receive notices about the rides, which will be announced two days in advance.

The Friday biking group is The Goats

CELLAR DWELLERS – Saturday, Oct. 27 – 6:00 pm

Put Saturday, October 27 on your calendar for a hauntingly fun costume party.  We have some creative costume designers here in our neighborhood, so dare be creative.  Howard and Susan Licht will host their second annual Halloween Party.  We had a great time last year – don’t miss this year’s party.  Please RSVP to smlicht@comcast.net.

CELLAR DWELLERS FUTURE EVENTS
Please consider hosting this fun evening.

Cellar Dwellers is one of the most enjoyable events in our neighborhood.  It is an evening of wine-tasting, good food, and fun conversation.  The host typically provides appetizers for the guests, and will choose the wine category for the guests to bring.  Sometimes, the host provides the drinks and the guests bring the appetizers.  If you do not feel comfortable hosting in your home, the Le Jardin clubhouse is usually available for use.   Please contact Jane Nero at janenero@comcast.net, if you would like to host an upcoming Cellar Dwellers.  Pick a month that works with your schedule, and let’s get the calendar filled up!

CHERRY CREEK EAST SINGLES – October 19 – 6:00 pm
CCE Singles are cordially invited to Judith’s home on Friday, October 19 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.  Please RSVP as soon as you can, as space is limited to 25 participants.  If you can join our fun group, please bring either a bottle of wine (or your drink of choice) or an appetizer to share.  Let Judith know which you will be bringing so that we don’t end up with all of one item.  Please email Judith at drjudithfl@aol.com for her address and any questions.

FLICK FLACK MOVIE CLUB
If you love to watch movies, this is a great way to watch movies you may never have heard of before.  We have a great discussion and pass along other movie recommendations.  Flick Flack members get together quarterly to discuss a movie that we watch independently before the meeting.  The host picks the movie in advance and provides the beverages and light snack.  If you do not feel comfortable hosting it in your home, the Le Jardin clubhouse is usually available for use.  Movie options can include movies currently in the theater or movies that can be downloaded and watched at home.  New members are always welcome.  Please contact Jane Nero at janenero@comcast.net if you are interested in joining.

IKON SKI PASS HOLDERS – WINTER SKI TRIPS
The ski pass industry has split into two camps following the introduction of Aspen-Alterra Mountain’s IKON Pass and Vail’s EPIC Pass.  In informal discussions with CCEA members, many of us have purchased the IKON Pass or are considering purchasing it.  If you are interested, the Ikon Pass can be purchased at   https://www.ikonpass.com/en.

We would like to determine:
If the CCEA residents that ski at Copper Mountain, Winter Park and/or Eldora are interested in:
      Carpooling, or

Meeting up at the ski area to ski together.

Determine if there is an interest in coordinating ski trips to some of the iconic ski areas the Rocky Mountains has to offer.

Ski resorts to consider include Steamboat, Taos, and Jackson Hole.  Another option could be a Utah trip that could include Alta, Snowbird, Brighton or Solitude.  All of these areas are accessible by car in less than a one day’s full drive.

If you have interest in a CCEA IKON Ski Group, please send an email to greg_cudney@yahoo.com. Please include your response to the above two questions.  Only IKON Pass holders, please.  If we have enough interest, we will go forward with a CCEA IKON Ski Group.
