The following board committees, with the oversight and approval of the CCEA Board, support, research and report back to the board regarding the following activities:
The Development Committee reviews, for CCEA Board approval, redevelopment proposals submitted to the board. The committee works with City and regional governmental bodies to insure that new development and redevelopment enhances the overall quality of the neighborhood. The committee monitors activities associated with the sidewalk system, storm drainage, parks, bicycle paths and public streets. The board and committee will work with the community to create a vision for redevelopment of the Harrison Street Corridor.
The Mobility Committee reviews, for CCEA Board approval opportunities to enhance safe connectivity within CCEA, surrounding neighborhoods and major Metro Denver destinations. The committee identifies and recommends to the board alternative modes of transportation to improve mobility. The committee monitors and reports to the board on regional public right-of-way projects -- including, but not limited to, Alameda Parkway, 1st Avenue and the Garfield bike Path. The committee continues to build relationships with local and regional entities and represents CCEA on committees and at meetings.
The CCEA Board has charged the Outreach Committee with increasing neighborhood involvement and membership in CCEA. The committee sponsors and organizes CCESocial events, activities -- such as the annual Jazz Concert in Pulaski Park and various monthly and quarterly social events. It works with the board to upgrade and enhance the existing website and email system to encourage residential and business engagement in the CCEA community. The committee builds relationships with homeowners, renters, HOAs, property owners and businesses.
